The engine MF73 comes from the coalmines Monceau-Fontaine at Monceau. There she was used until 1975. She was made for shunting and had a simple concept. She was acquired by CFV3V together with the MF82 and the MF91. First she was moved to Walcourt in December 1975. But it took until March 1976 before she could be moved to Mariembourg. This engine was officially in use the first time on the line Mariembourg-Treignes on 27th March 1976 towing a series of CGI wagons.
This machine is property of the CFV3V.
